TO THE
Glorious Memory
OF THE
Nelson Scouts
WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR.

(Originally erected in 1919, this rare memorial to the Boy Scouts
 who died in WW1, must have been one of the first 
to have been built and erected after the war.)


The inscription reads--

The Great War
In Proud and Grateful memory of
Our Glorious Dead.
1914-1918

Also of Those who Fell
1939-1945.


The inscription reads--
In Grateful Memory of the citizens of Nelson 
Who Gave Their Lives For Their Country.
"If ye break faith with us who die, we shall not sleep".
